Any Bright Ideas?

The stem is arguably the better tasting bit of the broccoli. Not as easy to use though. Sometimes I'll peel it, and grate it in spaghetti sauce. Or, dice it and use it in soup.

What do you do with it?

Not a very bright or original idea, but I slice it thinly and stir-fry it. YUM. My boys will only eat the "tree" part, so I get the yummiest part all to myself :)

I'll remember that. Haven't done a proper stir fry in ages, very timely!

it gets made into brocolli & stilton (or any mild blue cheese that I can find here in DK!) soup...with lots of fresh bread to go with it - yum yum!

Eat it raw. It's yummy. Otherwise cook it first and eat w butter. But too lazy, so eat it first.

This is the part of broccoli I like the least. LOVE the florets, but save these up and juice them with other veggies and fruit. It's great.

I haven't read it yet, but there may just be some suggestions here from the Gluten-free Girl blog...
